Teleplay by : Efrem Seeger Story by : Ron Cowen - Daniel Lipman - Efrem Seeger Directed by : Alex Chapple

Justin appears in front of a school disciplinary committee to apologize for his behavior at the ad agency, but refuses to apologize to Stockwell and gets suspended. Hunter shows up with a condom full of cop sperm as well as the alleged murderer's name - who turns out to be Stockwell's former partner. Emmett caters Ted's orgy, but leaves before the festivities start, thus angering Ted and causing him to end this relationship. Melanie and Lindsay invite Emmett to stay with them after forgiving each other for Ted-inspired tensions.

Ron Cowen : Everyone just thought we dumped the Dumpster Boy, but we didn't. In reality, as opposed to television shows, there are a lot of crimes and even murders that go unsolved. Sometimes they get solved. Sometimes they never get solved. Sometimes, five years later they arrest somebody. It doesn't happen three episodes later in real life. So we wanted to be more realistic in that they couldn't solve the murder. It did get shelved and forgotten about. Then a year and a half later something surfaces. That just seems so much more interesting than tidying it up. That story was good fortune smiling on us because we didn't know last year how it was going to come back.
