Teleplay by : Karen Walton Story by : Ron Cowen - Daniel Lipman - Karen Walton Directed by : Kevin Inch
Lindsay and Melanie’s wedding plans fall apart due to the alignment of the planets, but their friends come to the rescue. Emmett finds George’s house to be the perfect place to hold the ceremony and puts up the money for his new butt to pay for decor. Vic and Debbie get past the stress of having temporarily worked together at the diner to make the cake and the dress respectively. Michael and Ted manage to put aside their argument over the wedding gift when they see the beautiful brides so happy. And Justin decides to stay for the wedding instead of going with Brian to the White Party in Miami.
Michelle Clunie : People write to me and send pictures of their and their lover’s child saying how they look up to us. When I went to work and shot the wedding episode, I was thinking about the people that would see it and who it would affect and what it meant to people. I’ve always been able to get married to the love of my life, but I get letters every day about what’s going on politically in different states. Then you go to work and you shoot this episode that you know may have an impact on that and it means a lot. You can’t help but have a tear in your eye when you’re saying your vows because you’re not just saying vows for Melanie and Lindsay, you’re saying you vows in the name of love and in the name of freedom.
