Pride weekend starts off with tragedy when Pittsburgh’s greatest drag queen, Godiva, dies, and only Emmett seems to mourn the loss, Justin runs into Chris Hobbs, working his community service. Brian decides that a homophobic client has the perfect wine coolers to market to gays. Ted gets a pity fuck from a really hot guy, but he doesn’t realize that’s all it is. Melanie’s ex-girlfriend Leda comes to town to shake things up for Mel and Linz. Michael backs out of agreeing to march in his first pride parade when he learns that coworkers will be watching. But he does show up, wearing Godiva’s clothing so he won’t be recognized.
Hal Sparks : The scene called for me to go up to my own boss in drag and kiss him and have him not to know it’s me. There were a lot of things we had to do to make sure that you could not tell it was me right away, because it would have been really annoying if it had just looked like me with a wig on. We put this wrap on my head and pulled all my skin up tighter and tighter and tighter until it held my eyebrows up, held my jawline tighter, and changed the shape of my face. Then we put the hair and makeup on and bleached my eyebrows -and then we secretly dyed them back to black at the end of the night so we wouldn’t get into trouble with the producers for doing it in the first place. The bandage was giving me a migraine and nausea. My vision was so blurry that I couldn’t see much beyond Sharon. After about five minutes with it on I could literally feel my pulse in my temples like someone knocking on a door with a hammer. But I was like, “If that’s what it takes, let’s do it.”
