Michael rebels against being David's kept boy, until his friend convice him to get over it and accept a trip to Paris. Melanie seeks comfort from her friends when a mysterious Frenchman named Guillaume moves in with Lindsay and they announce their plan to marry so he can stay in the country. Justin tries-and fails-to form a Gay/Straight Student Alliance at school after suffering insults from Chris Hobbs. He gets his payback when Hobbes makes a trip to Liberty Avenue and Justin outs their secret locker-room handjob session.
Michelle Clunie : Ted and Melanie get each other. Of course Melanie’s close to Emmett, but Ted was an accountant so they understand each other in a certain business level. I think with everyone that’s in business, your mind works a certain way – it’s very pragmatic and analytical. Ted has a mind like that so we get each other. Ted’s like that one person that Melanie can talk to. You know these friendships you have where you can talk about anything and he’ll always give you a nice sounding board or great advice. There’s almost a brotherly love there that is a camaraderie among two peers and two friends. It’s a really important relationship for Melanie because I don’t think she has that with anyone else.
