Teleplay by : Richard Kramer - Ron Cowen - Daniel Lipman Story by : Richard Kramer Directed by : John Greyson
After HIV scare and subsequent promise to God, Emmett "sees the light" and joins a conversation-therapy group hoping to embrace the heterosexual lifestyle. Conversely Ted, reaps the sexual rewards of Brian's castoffs when temporarily filling the Michael void in his life. Lindsay and Melanie let Brian and finances get in the way of their relationship and continue to drift apart. Michael officialy moves in with David, but Michael's stuff has a harder time getting into the house.
Hal Sparks : Michael thinks of the other person he’s with as a fountain of hope and he drinks with his eyes. It’s the only way I can really describe it. If you look at him, he’s just trying to get hope for the rest of his life from this person, to the point where the physical connection disappears for him. It’s not about the groping and sex as much as making sure he can see the guy’s face and see if he cares. It’s the same when he’s shying away from Brian the few times that Brian has come on to him. Michael can’t make eye contact because he’s afraid to get clicked into that. Because once he does, he’s there for good because he does love Brian.
