A simple night of cruising gets complicated for Michael, Brian, Ted and Emmett when two new arrivals hit the Pittsburgh gay scene. Seventeen-years-old Justin make his Liberty Avenue debut - developing an instant attraction to Brian - and Linsday gives birth to Brian's son with her partner Melanie.

Daniel Lipman : The moment Justin decided to cross that steet to go to Babylon was not in the script - it was Russell Mulcahy's invention. I saw the dailies and I thought, "Now, why is Russell focusing on Justin stepping into a puddle?" And I realized that it was because he is becoming baptized. It's a brilliant image. Justin is standing there smoking and he's very nervous, because the first time you would go into a bar, you're very, very nervous about it. He puts out the cigarette and then you see him step into that water and he's baptized into the world.
