Biography :
Thea Gill has worked on many diverse projects for the stage and screen. For the last four years, she has starred as “Lindsay Peterson” on Showtime’s highest rated series QUEER AS FOLK, for which she received an ACTRA Award nomination.
Other television roles include such series as BLISS for the Oxygen Network, JUST CAUSE, KUNG FU: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, and DUE SOUTH. She has had leading & supporting roles in numerous commercials, features, and MOW’s as well, such as TORNADO WARNING, opposite TV legend Gerald McRaney, SIGHTINGS: HEARTLAND GHOST with Beau Bridges and Miguel Ferrer, COMMON GROUND, co-starring Brittany Murphy, Helen Shaver & written by Harvey Fierstein, and PAPERTRAIL.
Thea’s past theatre credits include Catherine in “Proof,” at the Belfry Theatre, Yelena in Guardian Spring Production's "Uncle Vanya,” Desdemona in Lovers and Madmen's production of "Othello,” Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet” at the Arbour Festival, and Frances Farmer in Hollywood Ten's production of Sally Clark's "Saint Frances of Hollywood.” Thea is overjoyed to announce that in 2005, she will finally be performing on stage in her hometown of Vancouver at the Vancouver Playhouse, a dream she has had for years!
Thea is also an accomplished singer, having worked as the Midsummer Lounge's featured act onboard the Mediterranean and Caribbean cruise ship M.S. Carousel. She also recently performed a successful three night solo singing gig at the world-renowned jazz club, Top O’ the Senator in Toronto. When not shooting QUEER AS FOLK in Toronto, Thea resides in Victoria, British Columbia with her husband, Brian Richmond, and her 6 kitty cats!
