Justin and Ben share a birthday, but their boyfriends have very different plans for marking the occasion. Michael plans a surprise party that blows up in his face when Ben lashes out in front of all the guests after learning his infection has become resistant to the cocktail. Brian decides to ignore Justin’s birthday entirely so Justin goes to a violin recital and meets a cute violinist. Meanwhile, Ted attends a gay-celebration church, meets a really great guy, and lies about his job.



Thom Best (Director of Photography) : I’m really proud of the work that everybody’s done. Everybody’s risen to the challenge. We all have our own personal reasons for why we’ve done the show. It was just important to me. For good or bad or however you feel about gay lifestyle, it provides a dialogue for people. If you don’t like it, at least it gives you something to talk about and that’s what I liked. Gay or straight, it opens things up for discussion. That’s what I’ve always liked about this show. A lot of things are in-your-face and it’s intended to be.
