Emmet takes " lessons " from the embodiment of his butch screen name. Michael meets Dr David's friends at the dinner party from hell. Afterward, the doctor asks Michael to move in with him. Lindsay and Melanie rush Gus to the hospital but only biological parents can go back to see the doctor, leaving Melanie out in the waiting room. Brian considers signing over his parental rights to her, but later refuses.



Tony Jonas : The British version was very working class and we decided to do the same thing. Our attitude was that we were trying to sell it as a reality. We were not doing the high end of New York or the flamboyance of San Francisco or even the L.A. scene. The whole idea was to say it’s in everyone’s backyard. What we were able to do was to make it real and make it bluecollar. We try and get flashy when it needs to be, but it’s not like these guys are walking around with five hundred dollars in their pocket everyday. The idea was to underplay it with what they would have a budget for.
